Commentary: COVID-19 vaccination and critical care capacity: Perilous months ahead

COVID-19 vaccination programs have been initiated by the end of 2020 or beginning of 2021 in a number of a countries, but the risk of renewed widespread lockdowns remains. To avoid the repeated widespread implementation and relaxation of lockdowns, we advocate that controlled conditions brought by current national lockdowns should be leveraged to eliminate SARS-CoV-2 circulation in the community.
